Pakistani-born Australian batsman Usman Khawaja returned to Test cricket two years later to score a century in the fourth Test against England, after which he has been in the top trends on Twitter.
Khawaja had earlier played his last Test match in 2019 during the Ashes series. His fans have since said it was a selectors’ decision to drop him from the Australian team.
